Mr. John: Thank you so much for posting this video. I had just gotten operated on for back surgery and was not able to attend. I am flattered to have been the first honoree with all of the great men on this site, Our work is cut out for us now. Two things will most likely happen now - worst thing would be for it to loose it's attraction. Second thing is that someone will rise up, pick up the ball and run with it just as Wade did. That is what leaders do. With all of the nice people that we have on this site, I believe it will live on. I know that is what Wade wanted and so do I. It will take a couple of people with energy and the ability to lead others to get it done. I do not have the physical abilities, and at 79, short term possibilities. However, as long as the good Lord blesses me with the ability to make monetary contributions I will be there, just as in the past. WE can make this happen as long as we can get along and keep our mission in view first and foremost. Majority rule is the American way but we still need those few who can settle spats and keep us steering in the right direction.

Unfortunately I never got to meet Mr. Wade in person, but I surely lost a good Friend. When you have a man like him, although you are not associated in person Great Friendships can be made. He was a man that loved life and enjoyed his fellow human being!!!! That is how I read him. I surely enjoyed speaking with him on here and the couple times I spoke on the phone. I could of spoken to him for hours just as if we had know each other all of our lives. I am more of a serious natured person, but he got many a laugh out of me. I am sorry that I will never get to meet this man in person, but I will always remember his name and Glad that Mr. Chuck put up the video so now I have an image of him in my mine that I can remember everytime I think of the name Wade Smith. He kept telling me that he was going to show me how that pup that I put him on from down here a few months ago runs. I dearly regret that it will not happen, but may we have great races someday if I am worthy of going to Heaven when my time comes. I hope we are all reunited. I know my wife is there already, if not, I have no chance.

Until we meet again Wade, keep us straight so we will meet again!!!! I know my wife is singing with the Angels. She loved singing and had a beautiful voice.

Fella’s I know this Annual Rabbit Dog event is not going to end with the passing of our good friend Mr. Wade Smith (Greenhaw) but I’ve got to say that the first year of the event will probably be my favorite of all, just because of the simplicity of it and the unknown of how it would all play out. It started as a group of guys just wanting to get together to run dog’s and to be able to put a face to name’s from an online sight that we all enjoy. It was the beginning of a great thing spearheaded from the start by Wade and now with the help of the planning committee and as it continues to grow and evolve I know it will only get better and can benefit a lot of people in the process. For the one’s that were not able to attend either of the first 2 event’s and to all the new member’s of our site I strongly encourage you to try and attend one of these event’s, it’s a great weekend and as we’ve been reminded recently with the untimely passing of our friend Wade Smith tomorrow is not guaranteed to any of us. Life is too short... So get out and make some great memories with family and friends and above all enjoy life to the fullest!!!

Well said Grizz. Like Curnel said Wade would kick our butt if we didn’t make this the best ever Get together. Rest assured we Will, with everyone’s help. We are being diligent in safety and will be monitoring the situation constantly and hope we can reschedule event soon. Wade will be missed but we must carry on.

So I have been off the site for a couple of weeks, and just found out about Wade today! Never met him, but may the Lord bless his wife and friends! I do know that he had a lot of beagle family on this site, and send condolences to you all RIP Greenie!
