Any of yall hunt with a single barrel shotgun these days??

For some reason I really enjoy using an ol single shot shotgun...reminds me of when I was a kid...

Have hunted with a single shot for 20 years now. When I was young I wanted the 3 shots of a semi auto or a pump. Then I figured out I am out there to listen to the hounds run . If I miss the first shot they will bring it around again!

Started with a single shot 20 ga, thought I needed a 12 ga and soon learned that I missed the .20 single. Now I hunt with my .410 pistol and love it

Had an old single shot FIE 20 gauge since I was 8 years old, I am now 38 years old and got more shotguns than I can count but still take the old FIE 70 % of the time.

That’s all I use for rabbit and squirrel. I’ve got a couple of old 20 gauge Harrington Richardson Toppers that I have had forever. Another nice little gun believe it or not is a gun my son and daughter have. A little Rossi .410, thing is light as a feather and kills the rabbits no problem. Doesn’t tear up much meat either.

Im going to look into a Henry single shot

Over $400 but they are a nice gun. Im thinking about it just becuase its made in USA and i cant stand looking down and seeing Made in China on my gun when im out there carrying on an American Tradition !
