pups leg

  1. hey everybody,
    this is probably gonna sound silly...but i took my pups out to my parents place to let em get out and exercise awhile, they were about wore out :), anyway, one of them was laggin behind and kept limping. his front paw was turned in alittle and made him look bow-legged. i checked him out and didnt see any cuts,stings,thorns or swelling. ive never noticed it before today so its not a birth defect. any ideas? like i said,may be something silly, but i love these lil' pups and i worry about em:confused:
  2. sounds like rickets to me. your pup is growing faster than the calcium intake needed to keep up with bone development. You can give them cal tabs for extra calcium or 1cc of cod liver oil daily and their legs will start to straighten up and also give them plenty of sun light.
