I've seen a woman crying on tv because her daughter didn't want to be forced to mask up. My parents told me " boy, you dont have any wants!!" I got a call a few weeks ago from a brother asking if I heard of Ivermectin. I said yes I know about it. He said there is a Dr. Out of town that gives rxs to folks to take to reduce the chances of getting the virus. I said/asked, "so you would take a product made for swine that's not tested on humans at all, before taking the vaccine??" I said no thanks but if I change my mind, I keep a bottle in my icebox and will borrow some from my beagles... LOL
I get poison ivy really bad. Last summer I got it on my leg and the dr would only prescribe a topical cream. I told him I needed the steroid but he wouldn't listen. It continued to get worse and a guy at work that everyone calls a conspiracy theorist gave me some fish antibiotics and said take these and you'll be good as new. I was pretty miserable so I told no one and gave it a shot. Worked awesome. I keep them in my medicine cabinet now.

Antibiotics do not work on allergic reactions like poison Ivy. I’m glad you improved though. The fish antibiotics aren’t made to the same purity standard as ones for humans .
The doc may have been hesitant to give steroids for poison Ivy at that time because steroids suppress the immune system , making it more likely that you could have gotten an infection. An argument for malpractice could’ve been made against them for giving a steroid for poison Ivy during a pandemic.

Totally different case but on the same line. I am a type 1 diabetic. Had a heck of a sinus infection about a month ago. Doc tested me for COVID first thing . 15 minutes later when came back negative. Doc came in and checked me out and said I had a sinus infection. Said he would give me a low dose of steroid shot because I was diabetic and told me to monitor my sugar level every 4 hours because it would raise my sugar levels.

Hey, it worked. I'm not sure why but it was spreading that that fish stuff put an end to it. I understand the antibiotic shouldn't work that way, but it did. I didn't take anything else.

unfortunately since the beginning covid has been used as a political weapon. Personally I'm a little skeptical when something is being forced upon me by the same people that said they would not trust anything Donald Trump had anything to do with. I believe if the media didn't constantly push this 24 hrs. a day most of us wouldn't even know there was a pandemic. I believe people should make their own decisions concerning their own health and the Govt. should stay out of it.

I don't personally care if anyone gets vaccinated or not,
that is and should continue to remain your choice! I work
in the medical field and get up close and personal with
multiple patients every day. I've not been diagnosed with
Covid during this entire fiasco. I have not received the
vaccine nor do I have plans of it. Especially, not a booster
every three months, my opinion is that is a money grab
by the manufacturers!

There are three cases that I know of right now of co-workers
that are out with Covid that were all vaccinated prior. So
draw your own conclusions or not, your privilege!

I do not trust our government to do the "right thing", I trust
them to do the "most profitable thing" for them.

Medicare is almost always reimbursed, do you think every
test ordered is necessary??? (many are, but the "system"
definitely takes advantage of that)

If you want to judge me about not taking the vaccine, by
all means.....

If I feel convicted about it, I will, until then. I won't. If
you don't respect that decision, then maybe you
have forgotten where we live... LAND OF THE FREE,
HOME OF THE BRAVE!

My wife says, I can be harsh with my words. My spiritual
gifts test say that mercy is not my gift. That being said,
just voicing my opinion, not trying to step on toes.

I respect your decision about the vaccine, whatever
that may be!

When the "science" actually computes, I may change
my mind. When it doesn't change to fit the political
climate or need to be the next big crisis to jump stock
prices or the next scare tactic to try and form a socialist
country. I mean we all know the government knows best,
right???

I just would rather follow the LAMB than be led like
a sheep! My 2 cents....

Nucdog , since you brought up the sheep , I want to be counted as a sheep. That includes taking care of the sick. And in the tradition of missionaries doing things such as drilling water wells to help prevent disease , I also want to do all I can to stop the spread of disease as well.

When a person starts discussing how Covid is purely political , are they taking into account that this is going on all around the world ? Democratic nations , Christian nations, Muslim nations , communist nations all are dealing with this pandemic. Our church sponsors missionaries in Bolivia , they are not doing so well with Covid. What would the Covid situation in this nation be like if no one would’ve done any infection control ?
My states governor is a republican coal company owner. We were one of the first states to shut down and mandate masks. How does this fit into the politics discussion ?

The Delta variant of Covid is showing some ability to break through and cause some infections in vaccinated individuals. These tend to be mild cases, they represent less than one percent of hospitalizations due to the delta variant. The ages of those hospitalized due to the delta variant is also lower than before.

Not telling anyone what to do , but be careful where you get your information to make your decisions. Check multiple sources.

Brother, I follow the Lamb of God as his sheep,
not as a sheep led to slaughter by this world!

I never once said it wasn't real or purely political.
I'm just not scared of it. Do I know people that
have died? Absolutely! Do I know people that have
been on their death bed and recovered? Absolutely!
Do I know people that have barely had any
symptoms? Absolutely!
It's just like medications. A little may work great
for some, others have to take five different kinds.
It effects people differently. If you have multiple
co-morbidity issues, it's going to be worse, as a
general rule.

I do tend to think it is being used as a political tool.
Who is most vulnerable for Covid? The elder
generation, the generation that mostly loves their
country, believes in hard work, making a life for
yourself, etc. in all countries. Those are the ones
they need gone. I don't believe it's just about the US,
its after the global economy, in my opinion.

I deleted about 85% of my response out of conviction
of being disrespectful to other members. My apologies.

So I'll just stop here:

How many times has "science" been proven wrong or
contradicted itself?

My response, if it's been more than once you should
at least question it. It has been more than once.

I am not condoning the vaccine or not, if you want it,
get it! If you don't, don't. That's the great thing (for now)
about living in our great country!

This is exactly why I don't usually comment about Covid
or the vaccine. I'm apparently a goat that doesn't check
multiple sources because I have my own opinion (based on
my research and more than a few sources) not
the status quo! Doesn't bother me at all, I actually got
a good laugh. I appreciate the scripture, subtle?

I already know that mattdog and I don't see eye to eye on some
things, no issue. We are all different with different ideals and
convictions. I follow the rules and obey the laws as commanded,
but I only follow one thing blindly, it is not the CDC
or our government (on any level).
I struggle everyday following Jesus. I struggle with anger
and cutting ears off as my first response. I'm thankful He
chose to save me with His grace and mercy. Therefore, I no
longer fear death. Life gets a lot easier when the fear is gone.

It's no problem, brother. Like most fleshly beings,
I read what I wanted to into your words and posts.
You might have meant it that way, you might not have.
Either way that is between you and the Lord. We
are all good from my end!
