I am going to sell my Payday/Honeybun gyp, nice medium speed clean gyp, no trash issues, good hunt, jumps rabbits, not an SPO style dog but can contribute to a medium speed pack.DOB 1/03/21 Maineason for selling the county is only going to allow me 4 hounds unless I get a Commercial kennel license which entails a lot of expense, a waste management plan , exercise plan and monthly inspections and I am not going to go there. TRK is going to be at the hunt Saturday morning for a few hours and is willing to deliver her to the hunt if that helps anyone. this is pup price on a nice gyp because I want her to go to a good hunting home Thanks

What a joke about the county ordinance! Meanwhile I bet somebody can have 10 couch loafers in their house and never walk them once and not have a kennel license or waste management program! Good luck, sorry about the news!

We have a law in my old county in Virginia that was similar . You couldn’t keep more than 3 dogs at your house without a kennel license . I don’t know what all was involved with getting one though . In the county that live in now I don’t think they require you to get a kennel license , but it is cheaper if you do and license your dogs . The license is 5 dollars per dog or 25 dollars for a kennel license , unlimited dogs . You must show them proof of rabies vaccination to get the license . The county makes the Vets office in the county send them a record of any dog you take them for a rabies vaccination , so they can send you a bill for a license .

That's exactly how my Virginia county that I reside in is Marshall. It's easy on the billfold and easy to keep up with year to year.
