Hey, I have two male dogs that don’t want to pack.Whenever I take them out only one will respond to the other if he jumps a rabbit, the other dog will not respond at all. They also don’t hunt and trail next to each other like they should. It looks like a mess because you end up watching to dogs going opposite directions.
Anything would help,not interested in trading or selling my dogs. Thanks.

Welcome to rabbit dogs . That is a tuff one if they are all you have . I have two that don’t always run with each other , but they will run in a pack .

The dog that won’t respond is (17mo), the other dog I don’t know, if I had to guess he’s probably (3-4yo) I just got him about a month ago.

They are penned together and the dog that’s a month old has been out several times. Thanks though.

Just keep taking them together until they figure it out. They aren’t used to each other and maybe have only hunted solo.

It’s something new to both of them, myself I would kennel them next to each other, not together. The dog has a new kennel mate in his kennel, he’s like what is going on. They will have to get to know each other. When running take the dog that won’t pack out first and once he starts running then turn the other dog that will pack to join him. Keep running together eventually it should work out. JMO
