Hope you guys enjoy and try this!
With dear season right around the corner I thought it would be a good time to share!
Looks good may try with rabbit this season!
Johnathan , first thing that I want to say is you have a sweet little girl and the sacrifice that y'all are making with your wife staying home is one of the best things that y'all can do for her IMO . And I no that it is hard , but the most important job a woman can do . My nephew and his wife made the same decision . She gave up a 55k job with excellent medical ins. .
That pot roast looked good . I marinate my steaks & pork chops in Dale's . That is a big crock pot . I like how you cook , big meals .
At the end of the day if your wife is not raising your kids then who is? You don’t know??? The Bible says for the woman to be the chase keeper at home. That’s not the lord saying woman are not capable of working it’s that they play a vitally important role in raising the kiddos. The lord has truly blessed me so my wife doesn’t have to work and I truly thank him for that! Cause I know my baby girl is in good hands!
ive wondered how it would be with rabbit??? Lmk if you try it
I posted a receipt here a while back that my nephews wife made with rabbit and it was delicious .
It's awesome! We make something similar with rabbit once or twice a year. I debone the meat to make sure all shot is removed. Now I'm gonna have to dig some meat out of the freezer tonight!
I tell my wife all the time she has the hardest job on the planet! I get to leave work at the end of the day, she's stuck at work 24-7. I try to give her some relief when I get home and try to send her to do something with her friends atleast one weekend a month. Praise God for good women that put up with us ol crazy beaglers and our offspring lol.
Do you boil the rabbit then debone it??
yes I have an amazing wife and I’m beyond thankful for her. She has a 24/7 job cleaning up after me then add a kid on top of it. She def works full time! Lol
If the rabbit is shot up pretty bad I go ahead and cut it up while cleaning it. We use that meat for pot pies, stews and stir fry. At the end of last season I started passing on the hard shots and would wait till I could take a head shot to not waste any meat. Those are for frying and baking whole.
All our last season rabbits burnt up in the fire at my nephews house last week . We usually do a barbecue with any rabbits left before the new season starts . Last year we had barbecue rabbit , smoked dove & quail and some venison roast and steamed crabs. It was good eating . Quail is king in my book .
