Robert Charles “Red” Kallmeyer, 87 years old, passed on to eternal life on April 11, 2023. Born January 31, 1936 to Charles B. and Josephine (Harrison) Kallmeyer. Bob grew up in Bellevue, graduated from Newport Catholic High School, served in the U.S. Army, and worked at Cincinnati Gas and Electric Company for 35 years. He is preceded in death by his parents and sisters, Rita Callahan, and Lois Volpe. Bob is survived by his brother, Charles B. (Mary Ann) of Maineville, OH and sister, Nancy (Joe) Legner of Cold Spring, KY. He will be missed by his many nieces and nephews.
Bob bred and trained champion beagles under his devoted work to Tim Tam Kennel. Well known throughout KY, OH, IN, MI, TN, GA, and PA, he won abundant trophies and awards. His favorite beagle was Tim Tam Taltz who won the National Championship. Family members have fond memories of holding Bob’s baby beagles.
Memorial Mass will be at Mother of God Church,119 W. 6th Street, Covington, KY 41011 on Saturday, May 27th at 12:00 PM with a livestream on YouTube at
www.mother-of-god.org. After mass, Bob’s family hopes friends and relatives will join them in the undercroft for lunch and sharing memories. Memorial donations are suggested to St. Elizabeth Hospice, 483 South Loop Drive, Edgewood, KY 41017 or Mother of God’s St. Vincent de Paul Society.
