14 Reasons I don't Vote Republican

Powerful and Continuing Nationalism

Fascist regimes tend to make constant use of patriotic mottos, slogans, symbols, songs, and other paraphernalia. Flags are seen everywhere, as are flag symbols on clothing and in public displays.
2. Disdain for the Recognition of Human Rights
Because of fear of enemies and the need for security, the people in fascist regimes are persuaded that human rights can be ignored in certain cases because of \u201cneed.\u201d The people tend to look the other way or even approve of torture, summary executions, assassinations, long incarcerations of prisoners, etc.
3. Identification of Enemies/Scapegoats as a Unifying Cause
The people are rallied into a unifying patriotic frenzy over the need to eliminate a perceived common threat or foe: racial, ethnic or religious minorities; liberals; communists; socialists, terrorists, etc.
4. Supremacy of the Military
Even when there are widespread domestic problems, the military is given a disproportionate amount of government funding, and the domestic agenda is neglected. Soldiers and military service are glamorized.
5. Rampant Sexism
The governments of fascist nations tend to be almost exclusively male-dominated. Under fascist regimes, traditional gender roles are made more rigid. Opposition to abortion is high, as is homophobia and anti-gay legislation and national policy.
6. Controlled Mass Media
Sometimes the media are directly controlled by the government, but in other cases, the media are indirectly controlled by government regulation, or sympathetic media spokespeople and executives. Censorship, especially in war time, is very common.
7. Obsession with National Security
Fear is used as a motivational tool by the government over the masses.
8. Religion and Government are Intertwined
Governments in fascist nations tend to use the most common religion in the nation as a tool to manipulate public opinion. Religious rhetoric and terminology is common from government leaders, even when the major tenets of the religion are diametrically opposed to the government's policies or actions.
9. Corporate Power is Protected
The industrial and business aristocracy of a fascist nation often are the ones who put the government leaders into power, creating a mutually beneficial business/government relationship and power elite.
10. Labor Power is Suppressed
Because the organizing power of labor is the only real threat to a fascist government, labor unions are either eliminated entirely, or are severely suppressed.
11. Disdain for Intellectuals and the Arts
Fascist nations tend to promote and tolerate open hostility to higher education, and academia. It is not uncommon for professors and other academics to be censored or even arrested. Free _expression in the arts is openly attacked, and governments often refuse to fund the arts.
12. Obsession with Crime and Punishment
Under fascist regimes, the police are given almost limitless power to enforce laws. The people are often willing to overlook police abuses and even forego civil liberties in the name of patriotism. There is often a national police force with virtually unlimited power in fascist nations
13. Rampant Cronyism and Corruption
Fascist regimes almost always are governed by groups of friends and associates who appoint each other to government positions and use governmental power and authority to protect their friends from accountability. It is not uncommon in fascist regimes for national resources and even treasures to be appropriated or even outright stolen by government leaders.
14. Fraudulent Elections
Sometimes elections in fascist nations are a complete sham. Other times elections are manipulated by smear campaigns against or even assassination of opposition candidates, use of legislation to control voting numbers or political district boundaries, and manipulation of the media. Fascist nations also typically use their judiciaries to manipulate or control elections.

TRANGER~ Everybody wants to be and professes to be a christian UNTIL it comes time to trust GOD in all matters and stand for whats morally right instead of what is popular

kinda like PATRIOTISM ~~ everybody professes to be a patriot until it comes time to do patriot stuff----then they hang their head and follow like sheep making excuses for going the wrong way

the one parable of the bible being fulfilled daily~ A HOUSE DIVIDED CANNOT STAND~ our country becomes more divided daily----democrat vs republican--religion against religion---country against country----black--white--red and yellow man against each other--gay people against Straight people poor against rich-----we are divided to the point and on a downward spiral and will soon hit rock bottom and all hell will break loose and the devil gets his dues

When democrats support killing kids, mutilating kids, molesting kids, manipulating kids, lawlessness, evil, etc…..
The house will always be divided. And I’ll be on the opposite side of the house from where they are.
Good vs evil. Been here forever, and will be here forever. One must choose wisely, and the path is narrow.

I think it is easy to forget that the devil is real and working without cease.
He will use every deceitful trick in the book. He can make it seem like you are doing good for a while.
The battle between good and evil is real and is waged by every soul every day whither we know it or not. Whither we believe or not makes no difference we are still engaged. Eternity is at stake.
However without faith we have no weapons for this kind of battle.

I know that I am a sinner and I know I believe with all my heart in Jesus.

Slow and Sure!! I believe you didn’t read or didn’t comprehend my post. No personal judgment there only Biblical judgment. If you are going to use the Bible to justify your statements you MUST take God’s Word in it’s entirety and literally!! We are all sinners and only saved by Grace not of works so that no man can boast! Scriptures are very Frank and to the point and point us in the right direction. Most of what has been said in numerous post is scriptural truth about the sin and society we live in. Political affiliations really have only a small part of what is being said. Most of these guys are just stating what the party platforms are pushing and about 99% of that is pure evil!! Us as Christian’s are required by Christ Commands to call out sin and if we don’t we will be held accountable. I Wish you the best Slowandsure and if you want to continue your Biblical study I can always be reached by PM.

You fellas are entitled to what you'd like to believe. I believe you guys are all around judgmental, unsavory, hateful, sinful and dehumanizing. The things you called me and others is just very unsettling. The thing that astounds me the most is you do it using God and his teachings which I feel is of many things blasphemous. You folks are the representatives of the phase used to describe holyer then thou, finger pointing and outright hateful behavior in Christianity "No hate like Christian love" that's OK you've only shown me what I don't want to be around. I've screen shot some of your responses to me to share them this evening at my mens Bible group I attended the topic we've been discussing is Bringing them to Christ. Don't worry I won't be staying on here. You've taught me Conservative Christians know nothing but, HATE
All I was wanting to know is what parts of the Bible we are suppose to take literally and what not to take literally. I'm in the same boat as TJRANGER please fell free to p.m. me.

Not trying to water down your post but wanted to say something about the picture. My oldest grandson had diaper rash real bad and a small sore on his butt due to his lazy ma half caring for him while his Dad worked 12 hour shifts. Lady from church said get Boudreaux butt paste. We did sent it home with her and end of problem. Well end of problem as far as his butt. Still have the lazy daughter in law.

There are plenty of parts of the Bible that are meant to be read figuratively and not literally. Poetry, prophecy, parables… For example, in Matthew 5 when Christ says that if your right hand causes you to stumble, cut it off. He is not promoting dismemberment, or even talking about your right hand. Or in Revelation 12 when John sees a Woman, her Child, and a Dragon. The woman is God’s people (Israel), the Child is the Lord Jesus Christ, and the dragon is Satan. Or when the Lord says to take His Good News to the “ends of the Earth” doesn’t mean the Earth is flat.

Just because something isn’t to be taken literally, it doesn’t mean that it isn’t authoritative, free from error, and divinely inspired.
