Merry Christmas!
I have a 3yr old female that during the past couple days her voice has changed. She has a terrible high pitched squeak before her bark. I feel like she's struggling to get her bark started. She's running hard, hunting hard, and looks great. Is this something to be concerned about or just a virus?

Is she straining to keep up with the pack? Any of her neck throat glands swollen? JMO

Nope, she's not missing a beat or swollen. What do think, could it be as simple as a cold? Wednesday it was 50 degrees and now it's 24 degrees.

Could be a little cold due to temperature changes. I’ll agree with your cold theory, maybe strep throat? JMO

Maybe to get checked out for safety sake, and peace of mind. If you have a rectal thermometer you can check their temperature yourself. JMO
