I have had good luck with tetracycline. It is mainly used for bacterial infections in cattle. I measure the dosage same as on the pack. I like the pills but the powder mixed in water works the same. It doesn't cure the kennel cough but helps to keep it from dragging on past 1-2 weeks. You can get it at the local farmers co-op or Tractor supply. You can also get the Kennel Cough preventive there also.

My dad was a pharmacist. That is what he said about the common cold. You can take something and be over it in three days or take nothing and be over it in three days. LOL.

I think alot of medicine is a placebo. It makes us think we feel better whether any way. I guess we feel better by giving our dogs something whether they need it or not.
