Hey fellas, here is my dilemma. I bought a beagle while she was pregnant and submitted her paper work online to AKC and had her put in my name no issues. I have been for over 2 months trying to put the puppy's she had on paper and I'm getting told different things by AKC. I was first told that because she was purchased while pregnant I cannot apply for puppy papers online - I instead must mail in a hard copy of the form. I sent in the hard copy they were requesting and they have now sent me back a customer reply form and I have listed it below. The breeder was listed on the litter application and I have a copy of the registration certificate for the dam with him being the owner. I have tried to call several times and end up on hold without a answer for more than 45 minuets. I'm frustrated and lost as what I should do next. I have people that want these pups but I cannot let them go without putting papers in their hands.

Any advice?

I had to email the guy who owned the dog a letter he signed it saying he bred her then the sires owner had to sign and I had to sign and send it in with the litter registration it's a little headache but you have to do it. Next time register the female prior to her bred date and you won't have to do it again

Stay on hold until one of the girls pick up
They will help you resolve the issue. I had the same thing happen to me and it took a little while because I had to get an affidavit from previous owner who was also the breeder. He sold me the female thinking she didn’t take
They were patient with me when I finally got hold of one of the ladies

Heather: No offense, but if you are looking for pets, why not rescue from your local shelter? The great majority of people on this Board are breeding hunting beagles.
Not a bad idea at all. And ty. I am glad you mention, you are right.
I am signed up with a couple shelters for alerts.
