I'm wanting to ask y'all a question here. I'm looking at a akc registered luci van little man female that is 2 years old, she's black and tan blue tick. She stands 11 inches at the shoulder, she's running really well and has been broke on deer, she is jumping some rabbits but is not a main jump dog. She packs really well and has hard hunt. The man that owns her is getting out of the rabbit beagle business and is asking 600 for her. In y'alls opinion, is 600 too much to pay for this dog if you really like her? Thanks

$600.00 is a good price for a running female that you can breed to any male you want to. If you broke it down for raising the dog, shots, time and money to get it started , food, running it - $600.00 is cheap. People pay 2-4 and 600.00 for pups.
If you like her and she would fit with your dogs, better get her before someone else does. JMO

Lucy Van Little Man has been dead for years. He would have to be way back in the pedigree. However, he was a field champion and a good one. He was little but his talents were big. I saw him run a couple of times in the early eighties. The dog you are looking at needs to be judged on it's ability and if it suits you then that is what matters.

I would have to watch her run to spend that amount . If you like what you see and you think that she will improve your pack I would have no problem spending that on a 2 year old broke dog . I would also get a 2 week health guarantee , if she doesn’t past a physical examination by your Vet you can return her for a full refund .

Ok, thanks for the info. I've run the dog 5 times with my dogs. She fits really well. Ive actually been looking for this exact breeding for a long time to breed to my male. Thanks again, and I know that it is my decision, but I still wanted to get a feel from you guys what y'all thinks a fair price and what's not. Thanks

Based on this comment, I would say buy her! Took me 5 years and a drive to AR. To find a female that I wanted.
Good luck.

You’ll waste a ton of money buying them $300 adult dogs that people say are really good dogs that jump their own rabbits and do it all....

Just selling because (insert lie).

Lol

I won’t buy a dog that’s too cheap...

I don’t trust it’s a quality dog.

I could be wrong, but I’ve yet to see someone that has a dog of value sell it unreasonably cheap lol.
