I have been doing a little clearing with my weed eater and blade a couple days last week near my only adjoining neighbors house . I was cutting down a couple of pine sampling Wednesday where I park at because it is tight getting out of my truck . My neighbor usually comes over there and talks if he hears me over there . He is a little older than me . He asked me if I was making a path back there . I told him that I had a predator hunting guy that wants to help me kill some bobcats and coyotes so I am cutting the small saplings that grew up all in the field so that his bullet doesn’t get deflected . I wasn’t going to open that parking place up to where someone could drive in the field . I told him that I was also going to cut a path so that I don’t have to walk near his house to get to my deer stand .

I went back over there Friday to cut the path and someone had opened the parking place where you can drive a truck in there and hauled away all the brush that I had cut and that they cut . It was all most dead 12’ pines . I figured he did it thinking he was helping me because I let his club hunt twice on my property this year .

I was coming home from rabbit hunting so I called him and asked if he wanted a couple of skinned rabbits . When I gave them to him I asked him if he had cut those dead trees down and hauled the brush away . He said no .

I can’t figure why someone would cut dead pines down just wide enough to drive in and haul the brush away . It seems like he would admit it if he did it , I wasn’t mad if he would have done it . I am sure he knows who did it though because he said he heard someone over there and he always checks on me , curious .

That’s what’s got me , it is so strange . They did a good job hauling the brush away , when they could have dragged it in the field or on the path . It wasn’t that much , but probably a pickup full . The only thing they left was a 7-11 large coffee cup . That was the reason I offered the neighbor the rabbits , I figured he thought he was helping me , when really he wasn’t . I also figured maybe he didn’t want that brush there , but you can’t see it from his house and his yard is a mess . I just don’t know .

Pretty suspicious to me, he knows something, I would watch him. If he did it, just tell you he did, Plain and Simple. Things like this make me non trusting of some people. Get the word out and someone will start to talk and it will go full circle and come back to you. I hope you find out who it was. JMO

Put a camera out there and you will know who is there. If it was someone else they must be planning to come back.

That’s who I thought did it , him thinking he was helping me so his hunting club could hunt there more next deer season . But he said he didn’t do it . It is not a big deal , but I just find it strange someone would cut a few dead pine trees down and take the trouble to haul the brush that I cut and they cut away instead of leaving it there .
