Have two dogs with hot spots on their feet that I haven’t been able to clear up. Have used many products including vetercyn and sulpherdene with no improvement. Minor improvement with fish oil. Any help will be appreciated
Could be several things! Could be a bacterial infection or an internal infection. I had one that kept having hot spots pop up. Took to Vet finally and figured out was infection so treated spots with Blue Coat antibacterial spray and gave 250 mg of amoxicillin twice daily. Also treated spots after 4-5 days withNustock and healing up nice.
Will say that blue coat has a spray option and an option with the applicator. I use the applicator because I always seem to spray it all over my hands when putting it on my dogs😂😂🤷🏼♂️
JB that’s funny as I came in the house the other day and my wife said “ What happened to you” my hand was all blue I knew but the overspray was all over my shirt where I held her to spray. Lol
But it works
My dog who is 8 always have flare ups with hot spots on paws, this week out of nowhere some type of sore on skin by nose. I tried many grain free feeds, current feed is blue buffalo, here is picture of today's hunt, zoom in on nose.
I picked up blue kote, plus another anti fungal, anti bacteria spray.
Gene I would start on an antibiotic so it doesn’t get infected or if is will help knock it out and use the roll on application of blucoat so spray don’t get in eyes and nose.
I have had dogs get a spot on their nose like that from briar tips breaking off under their skin, almost like a splinter. Good anitbiotic healed it up.
