So my little cousin got married this weekend. She met her husband in undergrad and have been dating for 6 years. She is in her last moments of school before she becomes an Optometrist. She is a very down to earth girl and probably one that I like the most. My uncle is always giving her now husband a hard time and he takes it well. But back to the wedding reception.....so when it was time for him to get the garter I talked him into taking a chain and lock into his sleeve and pulling it out while reaching under her dress and then going and dropping it on my uncles lap.....well it didn't go real smooth. He was so nervous to do it that it was still stuck up his sleeve when came out and tried giving it to my uncle. The whole concept was still funny and caught my uncle off guard but it was more hilarious to see how nervous the new husband was.

Anybody else have any funny moments at weddings?

Lori and I went to my high school buddies wedding and reception. We got there late, my son was pitching a no hitter in his little league play off series which they won. He did pitch a no-hitter.
Lori and I drove over an hour and made it to the reception, we were starving, we picked up plates and was walking to see what we could get. We were in front of some potato salad and a drunk picked up the serving spoon with salad on it and ate the salad off the spoon, he put the spoon back into the bowl. We both looked at each other as if to say, WTF, we put down our plates stayed a while and left to get some food before we made it home.
I am real hesitant about eating at buffet style serving dinner. If I am one of the first 20-30 I am good with it after that I am very picky about what I get. JMO

I went to a wedding reception being held at facility with multiple rooms for receptions with my X-wife when we were dating or just married Plate of hors d'evoures, drink in hand.....we looked around and realized we did not recognize anyone. We were at the wrong reception. We walked out (kept our plates and drinks) saw a staff member, asked where the Mr. and Mrs, so and so reception was, she escorted us to the right room. Walked right in and joined the correct wedding reception. This had to be back in the early 90's.
