This dog worked his butt of this morning. We jumped 7 rabbits today and only was able to hit on three. One of them I legged and it hit a hole before the dogs could grab it up. Two made it to dozer piles and one crossed a main road so we had to catch the dogs. The last one holed up under an old tool shed. To be frank our shooting flat out sucked today but the dogs looked great. If I were him I'dquit on me.

I got a really hard look by my derby when she was standing at a hole with blood droplets trailing into it. Like she expected me to get a shovel and finish my part of the job. It happens, but it was frustrating. I hate to "wing" game and not recover it.

I have had beagles I used for pheasants as well as rabbits. They run their butt off on a bird It goes up and I miss, they look at me like WTH you missed. If they could only talk, Dave. LOL- I don't know if I would want to hear it. LOL
