I have a female that was whelped 5/5/17, and I have had her since she was 3 months old. I started her, broke her off trash and have killed hundreds of rabbits with her. In fact I killed six in front of her this morning (1/2/21).
she is very friendly, a little timid of strangers, comes to you and is tone broke to come when beeped. Last year at the end of the season she got another gear I didn’t know she had, especially in open terrain. If she’s in the thick stuff she is fine but today we were hunting in a sagebrush planted pines and several times she would show shes just a tad faster than the rest of my Pack. Some of my pack messed things up trying to stay with her.
she hunts and looks for a rabbit, once in a while jumps one, but not a jump dog.
I would like to get 300 for her. I am not interested in shipping her so somebody semi local to my area only.
I am 30 minutes north of Burlington NC and 15 min south of Danville VA near Providence NC.

Everybody is so all over the place on the speed thing it’s hard to say what my 5-6 is to somebody else but thats what I call mine. I put her in the 6-6.5 area. A good friend of mine who runs a rabbit pen got her for me and says she has weircreek influence if that helps.
I used to run dingus hounds that what I call 8-9 speed and could catch rabbits.
Anybody interested can watch her run here on my farm, and you can be the judge of her, I am selling her as a huntable non trash running gyp for 300.00, basically loosing my butt after all the time put into her.
She has hunted 4 times this year and 16 rabbits in the pot with her in the pack.
