After many many years out of the rabbit game, I finally wised up and my brother and I got a pack of dogs off of a gentleman stepping away from hounds. They are definitely rusty but know what they are doing. We are wanting to add another male to the pack eventually. All of them are under 13in. Was hoping some of you guys might have some suggestions on what kind of stock out there we should look into. Thanks

I appreciate the response. I would consider them medium speed. We are located in SE Tn. Mostly around some pretty thick stuff around overgrown sage fields or small crop fields. Breeding wise I couldn’t tell you what these dogs are out of. They are grade. We aren’t looking to burn down the woods or get into trails. Just enjoying the chase and shooting a few rabbits while we do it.

Wish I knew info on breeding. We have two male/femal have pretty good hunt to them. Also pretty tight on mouth which I like. Another female that has average hunt and loose mouth. Then two green dogs that do pack and open. I’d really like to just improve the pack as I’m sure everyone else in the world does. But I’d be looking towards the next dog being the best dog if that makes since
