I have a hunt coming up first of January that starts with a half day on Friday and then Saturday/Sunday are 8-10 hrs of hunting. Then two day break for travel and then 3 days in a row of 8-10 hrs hunting. My dog’s are in really good shape but this really drains them of energy at the end of the day. Have any of you seen a big difference with energy supplements and what ones would you suggest? I feed 31/22 food currently.

I have been using Red Cell and Dog Forte. Dogs get ran 4 to 5 days a week for 4- 6 hours, but I always take a couple weeks vacation in October and December and run dogs every day except the weekend. Dogs travel anywhere from 10 to 20 miles a day. 20 mile days are chasing hare. They stay going strong. I feed 30/20. I also add a teaspoon of cod liver oil to their food.

A good healthy dog, quality feed and plenty of fresh water and clean dry bedding and a warm place to sleep is all I have ever given an it seems to serve well.

When doing lots of heavy every day hunting especially this time of year I personally rotate my packs to help them stay it tip top physical shape all season long.

If you have the hound availability..... I highly recommend this method. This is the exact reason I keep enough hounds to have 4 - 5 + top notch Hunting Packs ready to go during the hunting season...…As a perk.....This method also gets me invited to many fine spots which keep my hounds booked up and gainfully employed through out the entire hunting season.

If you have a high end hunting schedule this method is proven to keep the hounds field performance at a maximum peak every time out.

For the amount of hunting I do this is the only solution and the most humane.

Spini , thats the stuff I have used for last 2 years. This year I also started using the Dog Forte. I have used the cod liver oil forever as added fat.
Mitch, I envy you and wish I could have more dogs but at this time 2 is all I have. I agree with rotating but I need more dogs. Some days I do solo them, one in the morning then other in afternoon.

I have used that Dog Forte when it first came out. I have found a good feed with good digetable protein and fat, good hydration along with having the dogs in shape will fix most problems. I only use the redcell if lots of blood was lost.
be careful with that Dog Forte it can change their behavior, get them amped up and crazy.

What exactly does the red cell do to/for the hound spini?
where can you get it? I have a female that bleeds more than my others. Could this help her?
