What is the best dog wormer and how often
I use the info from this website to keep my dogs parasite free... https://pawpawskennels.webs.com/beaglehealth.htm
I really think its best to alternate. Assuming your just talking general intestinal worms and not heart, flee or tick:
safeguard goat wormer is considered safest and good for pups, bitches etc. -(helps with guardia too)
Valbazen gets some that others don't and is good to use once in awhile.
The multiwormers that get tapes too are really nice.
The all in one flee, tick, heart & intestinal wormers are convenient but I have some concerns about safety.
So; I alternate using safeguard (mostly bitches and pups) as needed, valbazen and then multi during or after hunting season and the all in one with "tick" for April to June running.
Ivomec for heartworm
Safeguard Horse wormer paste.
Ivomec For heart worming.
When we catch rabbits I use a kills everything worm pill from Oki Dog, Drontal maybe its called. I can't remember.
I worm twice a year with Panacur once in October and once in March. As per my veterinarians instructions I give each dog a dose daily for three consecutive days. This and a monthly dose of Ivomec has worked well for me.
Is that all y’all have come on guys.. lol
Ivermectin paste horse wormer 1 time a month. And dontral if needed
Safeguard quarterly, all wormer alternating with safe quart. I to believe you need to change up! I also use ivomec every month even in cooler months
ivermectin and pyrantel pamoate every 28 days and then
safe guard 3 days in a row every 6 months usually in January and June.
I do exactly the same ^
