I’m looking for a history lesson on a female pup I just bought. I’ve heard people talk about the line and some of the dogs in this pedigree but I tend to forget I’d like to have something to go back and look at. Does anyone know the dogs in this pedigree?

I saw Pee Wee's Grizz several times. He was a step faster than medium speed but he was successful in ARHA Little Pack running against much faster dogs. He had good hunt and would get in the thick stuff. Very few dogs of that speed have been that successful in Little Pack. He was very level headed to constantly be run with faster dogs and not blow up. He had a lot of Bramlett breeding.

TRK- that’s good to know I hadn’t heard of him and he was one I was wondering about thank you for the info.
Otte- I have been very impressed with Mr. Eagletons line of dogs. I have a year old pup that has a lot of his bloodline and she has made a believer out of me. Shows good hunt, upper medium speed, and looks for a rabbit instead of a track.

abrack- thank you for the information. I have high hopes for this pup, if she’s anything like my other bramlett bred pup I will be happy.

Ken- out of the dogs you’ve had with the similar blood line have you noticed them being high or low maintenance? I had dogs as a kid that could be penned up a while and still run a rabbit just like they did the last time they were out and then had dogs that needed tracks more often to keep a steady race.

I've met Howard and spoken with Ken Hessling. I have a couple of.dogs with those similar bloodlines. Hard hunters.
Some years back I purchased a female from Ken out of Tuxedo, she was the best little dog I've ever had in my kennel, smart as a whip, hard hunting, and great line control. She passed away much to young a few years back.

I own and breed Bramlett bred hounds, the most of them are great hunters and have good line control with heavy chop mouths. Been breeding hounds for over 40 years and it is my opinion that the Bramlett bloodline if bred right reproduce the same type of hounds litter after litter. If your looking to breed those type of hounds I have them. You can reach me at 618-676-7576. I live in Illinois. Good luck to you and happy beagleing.

My Bramlett hounds have at least 25 to 30 original cross of the old bramlett line in them, Most people say they have a bramlett bred dog because it may have one are two cross of bramlett in it's pedigree' these type of dogs could be called anything else that is in the pedigree but the call it a bramlett bred dog because that helps the sell it. My dog have strong hunt excellent line control and good noses. I out cross them on ubgf style of hounds to get a better nose and keep good line control but most of my hounds keep the bramlett speed which makes them run faster then a ubgf hound but keep the line control. They are the type of dogs that will jump you a rabbit and can pound on a rabbit constantly. Most of my hound are 13in. to 14.5in. tall. I have a good stud dogs here and sell pups when I have them. Fell free to call me anytime. I do not answer texts I'm old school. Thank You.
