Hey guys, I’m in search of new boots. I’ve been wearing my 2 year old Wolverine’s and they are breaking my heals down bad. And Mucks are just too heavy.
Any suggestions for a decent boot for a fat guy with good cushion and not break the bank.

Good boots cost good money. Most comfortable boot I’ve ever worn are Crispi guide GTX. They can be found for $350. Yea I know pricy but they are comfortable and last!

Danner hiking boots, light weight, waterproof, and really comfortable, I am on my second pair and both lasted over 2 years, that’s wearing daily to work(construction) and Saturdays hunting, by far the longest lasting and most comfortable boot I have ever worn, Most boots only last me about 6 months, I like them so much I ordered 2 extras pair to keep for future use incase they stop making them. Heck I like them so much I wear the new ones to church on Sundays LOL

Most of the year I use Flip Flops, Crocs or Tennis shoes they are comfortable except for cold days during hunting season. I use tennis shoes when I want to take a good close look at dogs. After it gets cold during the hunting season I start putting on LaCrosse Boots because they are light and they stay on my feet when I get in the wet soft stuff and the floating marsh plus I can run in them. Now that I'm older I put inserts in my boots for comfort.

Depends on if summer boots or winter. For summer I like the old Brownings. Now a Cabelas boot. For winter I am liking the ll bean gum shoe. I replace the inserts in both with a stronger arch support

I wear a 10 inch rubber boot with a walking sole. The were sold by Dans but were discontinued because of sizing issues. I still have one extra pair new in box.

Danner pronghorn is hard to beat for the money. At one time I wore Rockys but the quality seemed to take a nosedive.

If you are looking for a rubber boot I really like my Quatro boots. The set i use have chaps sewn onto them. They are comfortable and have room if you have bigger calves. They also have a fiberglass piece if you step something sharp. They come in insulated and uninsulated. I wear Danner grouse boots for a leather lace up. They are really comfortable and hold up really well.
