I have been doing some bird watching and trying to identify the birds that I am seeing . Besides the bluebirds and cardinals that I see everyday , I saw several beautiful goldfinch this morning in the yard . Some of the other beautiful birds that I have seen , kestrel , northern flicker , prairie warbler and great crested flycatcher .

Good rabbit habitat is also good for a variety of songbirds.

My place is a winter migration spot for robins . Every evening during the winter months hundreds if not thousands fly in and roost every night here . You don’t see them here during the summer .

Lori and Chloe, (GSP) walk 4 miles every morning she has seen a Pileated Wood Pecker, the bird is huge and is not seen very often. At home we see, Bluebirds, Reddish colored Finch’s, Cardinals, Blue Jays, Barn Swallows, Humming Birds, Killdeers, Vultures. The birds really sing in the morning and at dusk. Then we see the bats flying. JMHO

I saw a real aggressive looking one this morning in the garden while I was on the porch drinking coffee avoiding the heat. No need to look up what kind it was as I've seen it many times. It was my wife expressing her feelings to me from the garden. Yep it was definitely bird watching with some chirping mixed in!

We've had a mature Bald Eagle soaring on currents the past few days. That's rare for us in June.
We normally see them in March and April while they're migrating. I wonder if a pair stuck around and have a nest.
There was a time when we had a very high Blue Bird population. For some reason we only seen a couple pairs now

Seen a few Bald Eagles flying the St. Clair River and Lake Huron. JMHO

I see Bald Eagles almost every time I'm out running dogs...in central Ohio. Never seen one as a kid here.

We had one of the biggest, or the biggest oil spill in US history happen here. It really messed up our watershed. But after decades of work. We're starting to see good things happen around here. Bald Eagles are one of them.

The Swallow Tail Kite Hawks are back in the swamp and they are fine to watch. They are all over my place now they a beautiful to watch. They are acrobats in the air. Fine to watch what they can do.

Yea we got a lot Bald Eagles now too especially in the coastal areas.

I had a guy at work telling me that a local cattle guy had a Eagle get one of his smaller calf’s last week.We have several around here I almost hit one eating road kill a few years ago.

I was wearing my chick hat and scrounging along the road to make pot of gumbo.

I saw a Yellow Warbler, a Baltimore Oriole, and a Cedar Waxwing, among other birds more common, while mowing paths at my farm this afternoon. Also a couple of rat snakes, a couple of deer, and several rabbits of various sizes. Caught a Mockingbird today in a box trap meant for a groundhog.

I watched a Bluebird land on the front yard as I was walking to check the mail. The Bluebird picked up something in its mouth and flew up into the Maple tree and gave it to one of its young. Pretty neat to see. I put up Bluebird houses and they are using them. It has helped to keep the mosquitos down. JMHO
