If you are running beagles where there are wolves, carry a gun, stay close to your hounds and pray. I don’t think bells would even scare off a coyote. (My guess - I have not tried it).
At times it attracts the wolves, they will hurt or kill the dog. Need to stay away from family rendezvous sites, pup dens or their main territory, and fresh kills. Need a plot map to find out all of these areas and keep your fingers crossed.
