I read somewhere and cant remember where that Amoxycillin tablets for fish aquariums will work for dogs. I have "fishbiotic" brand amoxycillin in 250 mg tablets what would normal dosage be for beagle?

fish mox is amoxicillin dossage is 5mg per Lb 2x a day. a good multipurpose one is cephalexin ( fish flex)

According to that dosage I would need around 150 mg for 30 lb beagle. Do you think 250 mg would be too much dosage, I would have to split pill for 150.

250 mg of fish mox or it's equivelent is not to much for a adult beagle. Can be given up to twice a day once in the morning and once at night.

I can buy amoxocillin and cephalexin from the feed store here in town. Its made for fish but Ive used it for a long time on dogs.

wolverine is correct both those antibotics are 250 mg twice a day for seven days. it doesnt matter if its for people, fish, or dogs. the antibotic is the antibotic. you can get a script of cephalexin (100 250mg capsules) for $15-$20 and it never goes bad
