Forget about all of those hound’s buddy. I’m interested in your hounds now.
Are you kidding me bro... None of my goofy no name all black pedigree back yard plugs hunt, jump or run near good enough for me not at all and I will tell you that right now! No th ey do not!

They ain't nothing down here or anywhere else. I just dream a lot and have high hopes for one day but I'm getting old and they still suck bad.

But we noticed a very strange phenomenon. We notice if you give away sell or you send the culls up NORTH that don't hunt or run quite good enough are short on nose, foot, flow and brains ...MAN...HOLD ON TO YOUR bonnet... them same exact culls...become Wonder Dog…Overnight! …..Hey it’s the truth…I'm telling ya they do… crazy as it all is they do!!..My goodness!

Them sorry things leave here culls and instantly over night the same plugs arrive up NORTH and WHAM....the very next morning...WONDER DOG!!!!...the latest and the Greatest. Someone is drinking the cool aid or is on crack or the government put something in you people’s water, or food or something is all I can say.... My goodness! What a scam!

We stay up all night long laughing reading all that stuff especially all that TRUTH in HOLY DOG BOOK....till we pee on ourselves!!! It is hilarious! Are you kidding me you just can't make all that garbage up. Drugs...has to be the medication they on...has to be.

Who in the Satan’s hell would of imagined anything close to that circus? Not me and not us that's for sure.

My ugly, peanut rolling, nose diving, unsanitary, crooked legged, spooky, no hunting, no smelling, trash craving, walkie talkies can't run a rabbit if you tied them plugs to one. That’s why I don't sell em...they ain't no good. No... none what so ever.....people would come back and burn my house down!

So back to the other thing:

Danny Cockerham, Mark Ladet and Kevin Moore and all the Judges that judged them dogs and ran with them and the all the dog men with good dogs that ran against them and saw them when they ran in the local beagle clubs down here could probably tell you what you need to know if you don't know and really want to know. Danny don't have dogs anymore and I don't know what happened to Mark Ledet but Kevin is still going at it strong.

Also, something to think real hard about is

If you ask the Field Trialers they have an answer for you from their perspective.

and

If you ask the Rabbit Hunters from down here who all ended up with pups and the field trial culls off them...I am real sure.... they all have an answer for you too bro! Yes, they do! Ask em go ahead!

So you can probably find any answer your looking for to argue your case...one way or another.

It totally depends on what.... TRUTH....you are looking for. Different strokes...you know?

Also

Someone or some probably bred and raise pups out of those dogs from down here I would imagine and they could tell you exactly how all of that shook out for them and others if you asked them.

Another thing you may want to ponder and give some serious thought to is the fact that these and many other hounds from down here that gained overnight success as soon as they were sold off and left here...... were for sale and could of been bought by people from down here that knew them and the owners very well and saw them run many times.

So

Why they left here and ended up.... there...up...NORTH.?????....You got me on that one bro...... Way over my pay scale.....Good luck with all that. Me..I don't know nuttin?

Yall need to leave this alone and move on and get back to the young man’s original question.

According to the gentleman I talked to, Mr Ethridge, Sankey, and I think he said even Mr Harvey owned him or had him at one time or another…thst he died and buried at Mr Sankeys house…

He never heard him mention the dog lacked any hunt…they apparently all hunted with him and his littermates…

I point blank told him I’d been told by more than one source the dog lacked in search…and honestly just wanted to know if it held water or not…He saI’d he’d call Mr Harvey and point blank ask him but they all bred to him so they liked something and he’s never heard anything other than ***** was a sure fire rabbit dog that was more conservative comparative to this line of dogs as far as being controlled and on the line…and he should know because some of his own dogs were given the blessing to carry Boggy Holler…

At current he owns the grandson to Rio on the dam side and sire side he’s grandson of Teddy Bear who was sired by *****…and he said if he was going hunting out of all the dogs he’s owned this dog would be it…dog also has two wins before he quit trialing…

So that’s as fair as I know to be to the dog… and it could’ve simply been HOW the dog hunted at trials…maybe he had his own style that looked like he wasn’t crazy busy and jumped more than his share of rabbits?

I don’t know but it would be hypocritical of me to talk about different jumping and hunting styles in one thread and not give this dog the benefit of the doubt on another…

I have found over the years, you need to talk with individuals who have seen the hound run but have no skin in the game, meaning they have nothing to profit from. Better yet, go see the hound run yourself if the hound is still alive.
Any time a stud owner in trying to make money on a hound studding them out, especially when a hound changes hands and they continue to be advertised, proceed with caution!

To the original poster, go see sire and dam run, if the pups are line bred, you’ll have a good idea of what you’ll end up with, if not, it’s a crap shoot.

Mitch, just curious if you've brought your hounds North to run. I'm talking snow country bro, yes i am. You know knee deep -10 below. That's what I mean. See how good the great dogs from the South would be, Heck bring some of your culls bro, you could make a lot of money selling us your trash... I'm just curious how it would go.......I'll cook you some cottontails, venison back straps. Michigan blueberries and cherries, and fry up some cold water bluegill and crappie bro.....might want some boots, your effing tennis shoes won't make it here. 😊

DC237,
They can't run a rabbit down here. It would be a huge waste of gas. Skullfork/Blackcreek dogs can't run up there let a lone in the snow. That's why we got you guys. You breed the snow dogs that can. Way out of Deep South dogs league. My dogs can't run a rabbit if it gets below 38 degrees. Them berries blue gills and crappie sound awful good!
